Greenhouse

Located at the foot of Lindbergh Blvd.(off Glenwood Ave) in Teaneck.

Members who are Teaneck residents may also join the Greenhouse Committee. This committee is responsible for the greenhouse operations at the Teaneck Greenhouse, from September through early June. Those actively participating in the greenhouse operations are given certain privileges such as the use of assigned space both within the greenhouse and in the adjacent garden plots. Monthly meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

The Greenhouse Committee is a very active group. Members volunteer grow and care for the many beautiful annuals and perennials that will be on sale at the annual Spring Plant Sale. Besides the plants available for the sale the club also raises many flowering plants for the Township of Teaneck that are planted around town on township property.

Spring is a busy time in the Greenhouse; we also conduct garden workshops for the young students of Hawthorne School. The students enjoy their visit to the greenhouse where they learn about growing and careing for plants. We hope to create future garden lovers.
