The Garden Club of Teaneck in active in gardening and civic programs
and projects in Teaneck. Join us in making Teaneck a great place
to live.
- Teaneck Firehouse Plantings - Every year in May a group
of club volunteers plant annuals at the town firehouse stations.
The club provides the plants and the expertise while the fireman
maintain the gardens throughout the summer.
- Grace Kriegel Memorial Herb Garden - This herb garden
is located on Teaneck Road in front of the town library. It is
a memorial to one of our esteemed club member, Grace Kriegel.
Volunteers have maintained this garden for many years.
- Gardening workshops for School Groups - April and May
are busy months at the Teaneck Greenhouse. Hundreds of children
from our local schools visit the greenhouse for a gardening workshop.
Every year the students look forward to this annual school field
trip.
- Teaneck High School Scholarship Program - As a result
of our fund raisers, the club is able to donate annually to this
worthy cause.
